I called Kiln Creek Animal Care because of an emergency situation with Cassie, my cat. Although they were completely booked with a waiting list for appointments, Dr. Bolton adjusted her schedule to see Cassie the day of my call. Cassie was treated for an illness that took two months to remedy with Dr. Bolton's caring diligence and expertise and the exceptional KCAC staff. I am so very grateful to Dr. Bolton and the staff and highly recommend their care! Cassie says thank you too!

From Our Website

This applies to all appointments, surgeries, drop off appointments, and any boarding drop offs. Clients will need to call KCAC once they arrive, be checked in over the phone, and their pet will be brought inside by a KCAC staff member. All discussions with the veterinarian & payments will take place via phone. We ask that clients remain in their vehicles at all times, so as to limit person-to-person contact. We have also instructed our employees to maintain the recommended safe, 6 foot distance from pet owners as best they can.

Kiln Creek Animal Care values the bond between pets and their families. We striveto strengthen this relationship through our veterinary care, service and education. What's more, we feel that your pet's mental well being is equally as important as his or her physical health. That's why our staff is Fear Free Certified! We were one of the first veterinary hospitals on the peninsula to venture down this road, and our patients and pet parents couldn't be happier! Kiln Creek Animal Care is a well-established, full-service, small animalveterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, behavioral, surgical and dental care.

Should an emergency arise after business hours, please contact the Animal Emergency Center at 757-234-0461. Over there you will find Dr. Tim Stiff, Manager of the Animal Emergency Center. Dr Tim has over 20 years of experience in small animal emergency medicine and is thrilled to be able to provide after-hours care for pets here on the Penisula.

For dog boarding, our facility includes spacious, all-indoor dog kennels with2 outside play areas surrounded by a 6 foot wooden fence inthe rear portion of our hospital. In the outside play area, individual pets or pet families can have fun and run freely(as long as you are confident they would not bound over our 6 foot fence to get home to you!) All boarding pets areexercised 3 times daily Monday through Saturday and2 times on Sundays (even though we are closed!) We are happy to provide comfortable bedding, blankets, towels, (stainless steel) food& water dishes as well as orthopedic sling beds.

Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist. Even if your dog or cat doesn't have these symptoms, we recommend that you have a veterinarian evaluate your pet's dental health at least once a year. Bacteria and food debris accumulate around the teeth and, if left unchecked, will lead to deterioration of the soft tissue and bone surrounding the teeth. This decay can result in irreversible periodontal disease, tooth loss, and possibly expensive oral surgery.

As a new client of our animal clinicin Newport News, you can expect our full attention to your pets' needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed.

Spaying your pet has many benefits. The procedure, which prevents female animals from becoming pregnant and reproducing, can help your dog or cat live a longer, healthier life. Spaying will not change your pet's personality. By spaying your female pet, you're protecting her against potentially deadly diseases, including bacterial infections, reproductive tract diseases, and several types of cancer. You also won't have to worry about her going into heat. This means avoiding the mess that often accompanies the heat cycle in female dogs and the pacing and crying that happens with female cats.
